DevOps was designed to remove silos so that these teams could work together to build, test, and deploy software faster. But there’s a lot more to DevOps than just a philosophy and a catchy abbreviation – the structure component goes much deeper than that.

“Any organization that designs a system (defined broadly) will produce a design whose structure is a copy of the organization’s communication structure.”
